Two years this week I started my business as Vicki – Admin Fairy. 🎉🥳🎂And it’s the best thing I’ve done…….I love it.
On the 25th February 2021 – Vicki Admin Fairy started sprinkling magic on small businesses and helping the self employed bring some order back in to their admin chaos.
Let me tell you about the person behind Vicki – Admin Fairy.
I’m 47, live in a small village in Shropshire, with my husband Steve, our 2 dogs. Pudding, she is a Lhasa Apso cross with a Toy Poodle and Pippin, he is a Chinese Crested Powderpuff.
After graduating from university with a degree in Business Management BA (hons) I got a job in the HM Revenue and Customs. Here I worked for 20yrs as an Administration Officer in the Employer Taxation and then Personal Taxation.
However, on the 31st May 2020 the HMRC made everyone in the Wrexham office redundant. This turned out to be a huge positive for me. It gave me the opportunity to do something that l had always wanted to do…………set up my own business and be my own boss!
At the time of leaving the HMRC, Steve was running his bookkeeping business, so between April 2020 and February 2021, I was helping him with his admin tasks in the bookkeeping business. While he was doing the technical side of bookkeeping, I would be behind the scenes making sure all the files and paperwork was in order, organising the huge amount of emails coming in, sending invoices and contacting clients.
One day I just thought “I can do this for other small business, who are so busy working in the business that the administration side of the business gets put to one side”.
And Vicki – Admin Fairy was born, putting all my experience and years of working in administration to good use by removing the admin chaos for small businesses, helping them regain their free time because I have done all the dreaded jobs for them that they would leave until an evening or a weekend.
