Excellent Customer Service is Essential in a Successful Business

Treat your customer or clients like they are your only one.  Make them feel special and valued. 🥳🌟

Now more than ever it is important for any business to be on top of their game with customer service.

There is so much competition out there for everything. When people are looking for a product or service not only are they looking for the best for them and their money, but they are also looking at the little extras they get from you.

The sad fact of the matter is these days is that when looking for a product of service, people don’t always remember the good things but they remember the BAD experiences they have. It only takes one bad experience from a few people and the word will get around and your reputation is in tatters along with your sales, profit and eventually your business.

Here are some of the ways in which poor customer service can damage a business:

Negative reviews and word-of-mouth: Customers who receive poor customer service are more likely to leave negative reviews and share their bad experiences with others. This can quickly damage a business’s reputation and make it difficult to attract new customers.

Lost revenue: Customers who have bad experiences are less likely to do business with a you again. This can lead to lost revenue and lower sales over time.

Increased support costs: Poor customer service can lead to an increase in support inquiries and complaints, which can be time-consuming and expensive to handle.

Overall, bad customer service can have a wide range of negative consequences for a business, including damaged reputation, lost revenue, and increased costs. It’s important for small to businesses prioritise customer service and work to ensure that customers are satisfied with their experiences.

Good customer service always helps retain your customers. It is what keeps your customers coming back for more purchases. Retaining customers increases your revenue and it’s also much cheaper to keep a customer than to try to gain a new one.

Businesses are becoming busier, especially for the self-employed.

You may be getting more customers or clients but the one thing you must always remember is that as you are getting busier each and every customer client needs to be treated like royalty and to feel that their custom means everything to you.

An excellent customer experience can change the way your business is perceived by customers or clients. It can also create real customer loyalty.

As per a survey done by Salesforce, “89% of consumers tend to make another purchase after experiencing positive customer service.”

Running a business you have to have so many roles. But remember there is only ONE of you. And if you let your customer service drop, eventually the sad fact is your business may fail.
