🥳🤩2025 Business Year in Review. A Year of Growth, Pride, and Purpose at Vicki Admin Fairy®

Reflecting on Success: Business Year in Review.

2025 has been a big year for me and for Vicki Admin Fairy®.

Not because everything was perfect, but because a lot happened alongside the day-to-day work of supporting my clients. There have been moments of recognition, opportunities I never expected, and times when I have had to stop and take stock of how far this business has come.

When I look back now, what I feel most is pride. Not the loud kind, but the quiet kind that comes from doing the work properly, showing up consistently, and staying true to how I work and who I am.

Business Year in Review

🧚‍♀️ Clients First, Always

This business year in review has been a testament to growth and resilience.

Before anything else, it matters to say this. Everything that happened in 2025 happened while client work continued, uninterrupted.

Businesses still needed support. Emails still need answering. Systems still needed organising. Deadlines still mattered.

That consistency is the foundation of Vicki Admin Fairy®. Awards, opportunities, and visibility only mean something if the people who trust me feel supported every single day.

That balance is something I hold with care.

✨ Recognition That Felt Affirming, Not Inflating

I have never built my business with awards as the goal. I built it to do good work, properly.

From the start, my focus has always been on showing up, doing what I say I will do, and supporting my clients in a way that actually makes their working lives easier. It has never been about chasing attention or ticking boxes. It has been about consistency, trust, and getting the detail right.

So when recognition comes, it is not something I take lightly. It feels affirming rather than overwhelming. Not because of the title or the platform, but because it reflects the work that happens quietly, day in and day out, behind the scenes.

That matters to me far more than any trophy ever could.

In 2025, Vicki Admin Fairy® was recognised as:

  • Inspirational VA of the Year. VA Awards. Winner
  • Solo VA of the Year. VA Awards. Shortlisted
  • Independent VA of the Year. Highly Commended

  • Business Support. Female Business Awards. Finalist
  • 1 of 100 Small Businesses for 2025 Small Business Saturday

  • Freelancer of the Year. Business Success Network. Runner Up
  • Disabled Entrepreneur. Business Success Network. Finalist
  • Inspiring Journey. Woman Who Achieves. Winner
  • Inspirational Woman of the Year. Women’s Business Club. Runner Up

Every recognition during this year has reinforced my commitment to my clients.

It’s is not just about awards; it’s about the impact made.
Being named one of the Small Business 100 was a genuine celebration moment. Not just a title, but an invitation into spaces that small, independent businesses are rarely seen in.

Attending No.11 Downing Street and the House of Lords was deeply symbolic. Not just because of where I was, but because of what those places hold.

There is something powerful about standing in buildings steeped in history. Rooms where decisions have been made, voices have been heard, and moments that shaped lives have unfolded over generations. If those walls could speak, they would tell stories of challenge, change, resilience, and progress.

To be there as a small, values-led, disability-owned business felt quietly surreal. It was a moment to pause and acknowledge how far this business has come. Not just for me, but for every small business owner quietly building something meaningful behind the scenes.

Receiving an email from Rachel Reeves recognising the Small Business 100 added to that sense of pride. A reminder that grassroots businesses and the often unseen support work behind them do get noticed.

Standing in those rooms was never about status. It was about representation. Proof that a small, values-led, disability-owned business belongs in national conversations too.

🌟 Visibility Without Losing Myself

Visibility in 2025 came through conversation, not performance.

Speaking on BBC Radio Shropshire. Appearing on podcasts. Sponsoring the 3 Spoonies Podcast. Taking part in a Department of Business roundtable. Being featured in The Lilac Review.

These were spaces where I could talk openly about business, disability, boundaries, confidence, and sustainability. I did not have to dilute my story or turn it into soundbites.

I am proud that I showed up as myself in every one of those moments.

🪄 Helping Businesses Protect What They Are Building

One of the parts of 2025 that matters deeply to me is the trademarking support I provided.

This year, I helped 15 businesses secure their brand through trademark registration.

For many, this step felt daunting. It had been delayed, overthought, or avoided entirely. Walking alongside those business owners, explaining the process clearly, and removing fear was incredibly rewarding.

Trademarking is not glamorous work, but it is powerful. It protects livelihoods, confidence, and future growth. Seeing clients feel more secure and established because of that support is something I am genuinely proud of.

💫 Leadership Rooted In Lived Experience

Some of the most meaningful work I did in 2025 happened quietly.

Becoming a Disability Ambassador and Trainer for the Society of Virtual Assistants. Mentoring through Digital Boost. Championing accessibility for Stori Brymbo.

These roles matter because representation matters. Being disabled in business comes with realities that cannot be learned from textbooks.

I am proud to bring lived experience into spaces where decisions, training, and conversations shape the future of self-employment.

🌿 Inspiring Without Pretending

One of my strongest motivations is to show other disabled people that disability does not define ambition, capability, or success.

Not by pretending it is easy. Not by turning it into a motivational slogan. But by showing what is possible when you build a business that works with your reality.

If someone sees my journey and feels a little less alone, a little more confident, or a little braver about taking their next step, that matters.

📖 Publishing From Real Experience

Publishing the VA Companion and Confidence & Clarity. The Self-Employed Companion in 2025 was a deeply personal milestone.

These books were written around client work, not instead of it. They exist because of real conversations, real challenges, and real solutions used daily.

Knowing they are now supporting other self-employed people to work with more confidence and clarity is something I will always be proud of.

Publishing these is a significant personal achievement.

💖 Pride Without Apology

When I reflect on 2025, I do not see a list of achievements. I see effort, resilience, and alignment.

I am proud of what I have achieved.
Proud of the clients I have supported.
Proud to stand visibly as a disabled entrepreneur.
Proud that I have not lost myself along the way.

That pride is not boastful. It is earned.

🔮 Looking Forward With Intention

2025 was not a finish line. It was a foundation.

Everything that happened this year, the awards, the advocacy, the trademarking support, the leadership roles, the visibility, and the client work, has created momentum for what comes next.

I move forward grateful, grounded, and quietly confident.

Quiet consistency builds powerful momentum. And 2025 proved that.

2025 has reminded me why I do this work.

If you are running a small business, especially if you are doing it while managing a disability or limited energy, I hope something in this has made you feel seen, understood, or a little less alone.

You do not need to have everything figured out. You do not need to rush. You are allowed to build your business in a way that fits you.

As I conclude this business year in review, I am left with valuable insights and gratefulness.

I hope this resonates with others who are on their journeys.

This year has shaped how I work and what I share. If you would like to explore the companion that reflects much of this thinking, you can find Achieve Success: The VA Companion here:
